M. Modi College has got the approval to start the three-year degree programmes, B. Voc. in Software Development and Industrial Waste Treatment Technology from this session under the Central Govt. Skill based Vocational Courses Scheme. A grant of 1.7 crore has been sanctioned to the college for this purpose by the University Grants Commission.

 Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal of the College expressed his gratitude for the proposed financial aid. The Principal affirmed that both the courses will make the students more skilled and employable. He also expressed his concern over the increasing unemployment due to the lack of skilled force. He further said that the Govt. of India has been laying emphasis on the vocational courses to make the youth skilled to meet the industrial and commercial requirements of the contemporary world. Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Nodal Officer of the college B.Voc. courses acknowledged and appreciated the government’s efforts towards making these courses more productive and beneficial in the long run. He also informed that keeping in mind the needs and demands of the industrial world a special initiative has been taken by involving the Industrial units in designing the syllabi of these courses.
