Students prepared for Competitions at Modi College during Lockdown

To train the students for the various competitive exams, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala is successfully running General Study Classes through various online platforms. College Principal Dr Khushvinder Kumar stated that the syllabi for various classes have been completed in accordance with the University guidelines and the schedule of University Examinations was yet to be finalized. So, this programme was designed for enhancing the students in constructive learning. Helping the outgoing students utilize their time effectively and enhance their knowledge, online General Studies classes have been initiated by the General Studies Circle of MM Modi College, Patiala.
Dr Ganesh Kumar Sethi, In-charge, General Studies Circle informed that 560 students of Modi College have registered for these classes and are attending the same regularly. The students are taught Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Communication Skills, General Awareness, and Computer Science Basics. All these components are important for various competitive exams like Civil Services, Banking Exams, SSC and also placements in different MNCs.
Beside providing study material and online sessions to the students, General Study Circle is also conducting online tests to evaluate the students. An Online Quiz was conducted on 17.05.2020 (Sunday) in which Mansi Garg of BCom III secured first postion (29/30 Marks) followed by Ishita Gupta of BCom III at second place (28/30 Marks) and Bhawna of BSc-I Non Medical at third place (27/30 marks).
The study material for these lectures is prepared by the members of the General Study Circle. College Principal, Dr Khusvinder Kumar, appreciated the efforts of Dr Ganesh Sethi, Dr Harmohan Sharma, Dr Manish Sharma, Prof. Gaurav Gupta and Prof. Harpreet Singh. He also applauded the response given by students to these classes and wished them luck to crack the prestigious competitive exams in the coming future.
