This is a two-days workshop on plant tissue culture is being conducted by Department of Biotechnology at M. M. Modi College, Patiala. Participants will be taught the basic aspects of plant tissue culture. An overview on tissue culture applications particularly for plant propagation, will be presented. This workshop includes topics on preparation of stock solution and media, aseptic (sterile) techniques and explants preparation, shoot induction and multiplication, rooting of shoots and plantlet acclimatization. Apart from lectures and demonstrations, comprehensive hands-on sessions will be con- ducted at the Laboratory.
Throughout the workshop participants will be benefited to develop skills in plant tissue culture.
