National award and Patent for teachers of MM Modi College
Dr. Ajit Kumar, Registrar, M M Modi College, Patiala, Department of Computer Science has bring laurels to this prestigious institution and state of Punjab by winning I2OR (ELITE Teachers) National Award 2021 and Dr. Sumeet Kumar for registration of patent of his innovative research, ‘The System and Method of Visually impaired people for voice conversion speech to text communication’ respectively. This patent was registered in the name of a team of 12 members and Dr. Sumeet Kumar is one of the members. College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the teachers for their achievements and said that college is feeling proud to have world class talent and best faculty.
Dr. Ajit Kumar is teaching at Modi College from last 19 years and currently working as registrar. He has authored 5 books in his field and 20 research papers in many national and international research journals.
Dr. Sumeet Kumar has authored 12 books in the field of Computer Science. His 11 research papers have been published in various National and International journals. He is also an active blood donor and donated blood more than 20 times.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਡਾ. ਅਜੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਆਈ. 2 ਓ.ਆਰ. (ਇਲੀਟ ਟੀਚਰਜ਼) ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਡਾ. ਸੁਮੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਖੋਜ ਕਾਰਜ, ‘ਦੀ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਐਂਡ ਮੈਥਡ ਆਫ਼ ਵਿਜੁਅਲੀ ਇਮਪੇਅਰਡ ਪੀਪਲਜ਼ ਫ਼ਾਰ ਵੁਆਇਜ਼ ਕਨਵਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਪੀਚ ਟੂ ਟੈਕਸਟ ਕਮਿਊਨੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ’ ਪੇਟੰਟ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਪੇਟੰਟ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਮੈਂਬਰੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਡਾ. ਅਜੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਪਿਛਲੇ 19 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 5 ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ 20 ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਖੋਜ-ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਪ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।
ਡਾ. ਸੁਮੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ 12 ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਲਿਖ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਜਨਾਂ ਖੋਜ-ਪੱਤਰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਜਨਰਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਪ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 20 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਾਰ ਖੂਨਦਾਨ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।
