National Management Day – 2015
The Department of Business Management, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala celebrated “National Management Day” in association with Punjab Commerce and Management Association on 21st Feb, 2015 in the college campus. The day was celebrated to acknowledge the contribution of Management thinkers and the increasing importance of management profession in the country. A special lecture was organized on the occasion. Dr. Pushpinder Singh Gill, Professor and Former head, School of Management Studies, Punjabi University was the key resource person and gave very motivating presentation on the topic “Innovations in Management”. He emphasized that innovation can bring competitive edge among the contenders and results into economic and social values in the economy. Dr. Gill said that in order to be innovative, we must explore the opportunities into new ideas and put these into practice. Dr. B.B Singla, Assistant Professor, School of Management studies, Punjabi University also spoke on the importance of Management Day. Earlier at the start of the function, Dr. Neeraj Goyal, Head, Department of Business Management welcomed the guests. Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal, Modi College also deliberated and motivated the students on the theme of the lecture. The proceedings of the function concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Poonam Malhotra, Co-ordinator, Management Department.
