Psychology-festival “Dysphoria” Organised
The Psychology Department of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organized a psycho-festival “Dysphoria” to emphasize the need for healthy psychological practices among college students. This festival was focused at ‘The course of control and level of depression among the youngsters of today’. College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the department for organizing this festival and said that early detection and scientific investigation of psychological conflicts is important. He said that stigma of psychological problems should be addressed at each level. Prof. Gurpreet Kaur from the department of psychology told that the objective of this festival is to equip the students with better coup-up mechanism for difficult phases of their lives. Around 160 students from different department of the college were registered and screened by the teachers and students of psychology department. After the screening of the students they were counseled according to their needs and problems. The students said that this festival was instrumental in learning the importance of positivity and patience for a successful and stress free life.

ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ‘ਡਿਸਫੋਰੀਆ’ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ
ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ‘ਡਿਸਫੋਰੀਆ’ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਹਾਂ-ਮੁੱਖੀ ਸੋਚ ਅਤੇ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤ ਆਦਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਂ ‘ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਵਸਾਦ ਦੀ ਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਦੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ’ ਸੀ।ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਜੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਸੱਮਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਲਝਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੁੰਝਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਭੇਦਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਔਖੀਆਂ ਹਾਲਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਹਾਂ-ਮੁੱਖੀ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਵਿੱਚ 160 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਂੜੀਦੇ ਟੈਸਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢੁੱਕਵੇਂ ਮਸ਼ਵਰੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ।ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਫੈਸਟੀਵਲ ਤੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਖਿੱੜੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ।
