Workshop on Training of the Trainers on Life Skills held at M M Modi College, Patiala
A Seven-day workshop on “Training of the Trainers on Life Skills” was organized at M M Modi College, Patiala in collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Chandigarh. Presiding over the valedictory session of the workshop Dr. Narinder Singh Kapoor, former Professor, Punjabi University, Patiala stressed upon teachers to inculcate positive attitude towards various aspects of life. Sharing his own experiences he discussed the importance of time management, discipline, work culture and qualities of being sincere, humble and responsible.
Welcoming the guests, Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal of the College exhorted the participating teachers to train their students in life skills as well as technical skills so that they become employable and prove to be responsible citizens. He also shared his views on the challenges that Indian society is facing in these days and the role of education in eradication of illiteracy, poverty and unemployment.
Workshop Co-ordinator, Dr. Rajeev Sharma informed that 50 teachers of the college took part in this workshop. Trainers of the workshop – Ms. Amandeep Kaur, Ms. Manjula and Sh. Deepak Kumar delivered lectures on time management, stress management, introspection, team work and communication skills. The participants interacted enthusiastically through teaching learning activities and games. Ms. Vineet Kaur, Ms. Priyanka, Ms. Suninda and Ms. Teena Pathak presented the report of the workshop.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਤ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ – ਟੇ੍ਰਨਿੰਗ ਆਫ਼ ਦਾ ਟਰੇਨਰਜ਼ ਆਨ ਲਾਈਫ਼ ਸਕਿੱਲਜ਼ ਸੰਪੰਨ
ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਰਾਜੀਵ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ਼ ਯੂਥ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਤ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਟੇ੍ਰਨਿੰਗ ਆਫ਼ ਦਾ ਟਰੇਨਰਜ਼ ਆਨ ਲਾਈਫ਼ ਸਕਿੱਲਜ਼ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਾਇਗੀ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਡਾ. ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿਚ ਊਸਾਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਜਮੀਂ ਜੀਵਨ-ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ, ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਨੇਹ-ਭਰਪੂਰ ਵਤੀਰਾ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ। ਡਾ. ਕਪੂਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਮਾਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਹੈ। ਸਮੇਂ ਦਾ ਸਦਉਪਯੋਗ ਕਰਨਾ, ਰਿਸ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਹਿਰਦਤਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣਾ, ਹੱਥੀਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਉਮੈਂ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਅਪਣਾਉਣਾ ਚੰਗੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਹਨ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਅਜੋਕੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਵੰਗਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਅਨਪੜ੍ਹਤਾ, ਗਰੀਬੀ, ਅੰਧਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਸਮਾਨਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੰਗੇਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਵਿਚ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੇ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ 50 ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਰਾਜੀਵ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਯੁਵਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਰਾਂ – ਮਿਸ ਅਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਮਿਸ ਮੰਜੂਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦੀਪਕ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ, ਸਮਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ, ਤਣਾਉ ਮੁਕਤੀ, ਸਵੈ-ਵਿਸ਼ਲੇਸ਼ਣ, ਟੀਮ ਵਰਕ, ਸੰਚਾਰ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਟਰਵੀਊ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਆਦਿ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਉਪਰ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕਈ ਖੇਡ ਸਰਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ। ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ-ਉਂਤਰ ਸੈਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣਨ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ, ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਊਣ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮਿਸ ਵਿਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਮਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਿਅੰਕਾ, ਮਿਸ ਸੁਨੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸ ਟੀਨਾ ਪਾਠਕ ਨੇ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ। ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਮਿਸਿਜ਼) ਪੂਨਮ ਮਲਹੋਤਰਾ ਨੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਕਹੇ। ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਬਲਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੌਚਕ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ।
