World Water Day Observed at Modi College, Patiala

Today the students and faculty members of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, observed WORLD WATER DAY. Its main objective was to create awareness among the students about the need to save fresh water and also to promote sustainable management of fresh waster resources. Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, College Principal, urged the students to save water especially for the “bottom billion” who live in slums and rural areas and try to survive without access to safe drinking water, sufficient food and energy services. He further shared that since water and energy are closely interlinked and interdependent; it becomes imperative that the water resources be utilized properly and sincere efforts should be made to promote energy efficient, environment friendly and Green Industry.
