Extension lecture on History of Immunology at Modi College
The Biological society of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organized an On-line extension lecture on the topic of ‘Immunology: Historical Perspectives and Basic principals’. The objective of this lecture was to explore history and different phases in the immunology and to understand its role in the medical sciences and health systems. The lecture was delivered by Prof.(Dr.) Sukhbir kaur, Department of Zoology, Panjab University , Chandigarh.
College principle Dr. Khushvinder Kumar ji while welcoming the main speaker said that immuniology as a scientific disciple is crucial for understanding auto immune diseases, immune deficiencies and transplant rejection. The speaker was formally introduced by Dr.Heena , Assistant professor, In his lecture, Prof.(Dr.) Sukhbir kaur, discussed historical perspectives and dimensions of immuniology .She explained the structure of immune cells and their functional traits and how these impacts human immunity and defences mechanisms of human body. Dr.Ashwani Sharma, Dean, life sciences and head of department said that immuniology is playing a important role in determining the outlines of nutrition needs and public health. We need to acknowledge the indelible and undeniable role of study of immuniology in improving the quality of human life.
The lecture was attented by the large number of students. The vote of thanks was presented by Dr.Bhanvi Wadwa. The event was technically managed by Dr.Rohit Sechdeva. On this occasion Dr.Kuldeep kumar, Dr.Akshita, Dr.Maninder, Dr.Manish , Dr.Heena, Dr.Teena and other were present.

ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਰੌਧਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਭਾਸਣ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ
ਸਥਾਨਿਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਬਾਇੳਲੌਜੀਕਲ ਸੁਸਾਇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ‘ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਰੌਧਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੀਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਦਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪ੍ਰਤੀਰੋਧਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਮਨੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਕਤਾ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਜੀਵ-ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ,ਚੰਡੀਗ੍ਹੜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ.(ਡਾ.) ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ.ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਰੌਧਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਖੋਜ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਦੇਣ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਬੀਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਤੱਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਕਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਰਸਮੀ ਜਾਣ-ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਐਂਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਡਾ. ਹਿਨਾ ਸਚਦੇਵਾ ਨੇ ਕਰਵਾਈ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ.(ਡਾ.) ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਰੌਧਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਪਹਿਲੂਆਂ ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਅਧਿਐਂਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਖੋਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਕੜ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਰੌਧਕ ਸੈਂਲਾਂ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਣਤਰ ਤੇ ਕਾਰਜ-ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਰੌਧਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਘੱਟ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਿਹਤ ਤੇ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡਾ. ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡੀਨ ਲਾਈਫ ਸਇੰਸਿਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬੌਟਨੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ-ਮੁੱਖੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਰੋਧਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਸਰੀਰਿਕ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਤੇ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਤੇ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਹਿਰਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਵਧਵਾ ਨੇ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ -ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਡਾ. ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਚਦੇਵਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡਾ. ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਡਾ. ਅਕਸ਼ਿਤਾ, ਡਾ. ਮਨਿੰਦਰ, ਡਾ.ਮਨੀਸ਼, ਡਾ. ਹਿਨਾ, ਡਾ.ਟੀਨਾ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਸਨ।
