As per the agenda the following decisions were taken in the meeting:
- To read and confirm the minutes of previous meetings.
The minutes of previous meeting held on 19thFebruary 2021, were read and were approved after formal discussion,.
- To monitor research progress of every department.
The scope and preview of the same was discussed at length and it is decided that every department will submit half yearly research progress report (i.e. for the period of January to June and July to December). In addition, Dr Deepika Jindal suggested to make the progress report more accountable, and progress of every individual faculty should be documented.
- Expected research activities and outcomes by every department.
This was discussed in relation to the agenda of the previous meeting. The college through Deans/ HoDs should ask every faculty member to plan and fix expected research activities/outcomes from every faculty for the next six month/ semester. The expected outcomes will be reviewed for progress with six monthly progress report submitted by the faculty to the respective Dean/ HoD. Similarly, departmental research activities and plans with proposed outcomes should be fixed and aligned with departmental calendar.
- Call for submission of proposal for the organization of research workshops/related activities.
There will be call for submission of proposal from departments/faculties for the organization of research workshops/activities for the next semester/session. To promote the research culture it will be mandatory for every temporary faculty member to submit its research work, research paper, article etc done during the session before joining for the next session.
- Continuation for the subscription of INFLIBNET-NLIST
- Creation of faculty/stream-wise research awards for teachers and research students.
Discussed at length and highly appreciated. It is proposed that appropriate guidelines/rules should be framed. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Suggested to implement the criteria of UGC for the calculation of research score for the award and suggestion was welcomed and accepted.
Further, it is decided to submit the detailed guidelines for the same to the head of the institution within next 30 days for approval.
- Formation of faculty wise committees for the submission of proposal to their respective agencies.
Deferred for the next meeting.
