M M Modi College wins Maharaja Yadvindra Singh Trophy General Sports Championship (Men) – 2015-16
Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala won Maharaja Yadvindra Singh Trophy – General Sports Championship (Men) for the year 2015-16 in Sports Prize Distribution Function held at Guru Teg Bahadur Hall, Punjabi University, Patiala on 3rd June, 2018. The trophy was awarded by Dr. B. S. Ghuman, Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala. The college has won this trophy for winning maximum number of Inter-College Championships (Men) and their contribution in Maka Trophy. The College has won this trophy for the record fifth time.
The College has also won cash prize of One Lac Twelve Thousand for winning maximum number of Men and Women Championships in Punjabi University Inter-College Competitions. College sports persons also won cash prizes in lacs for their outstanding National and International performances.
College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the Sports persons for their contribution and achievements in the field of sports. He also applauded the efforts of Dean, Sports, Dr. Gurdeep Singh; Head, Dept. of Sports, Prof. Nishan Singh; Prof. Harneet Singh and Prof. Mandeep Kaur.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਯਾਦਵਿੰਦਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਟ੍ਰਾਫ਼ੀ – ਜਰਨਲ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ (ਪੁਰਸ਼) – 2015-16 ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਟ੍ਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਮਿਤੀ 3 ਜੂਨ, 2018 ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਹਾਲ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਇੱਕ ਖੇਡ ਇਨਾਮ ਵੰਡ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ. ਬੀ. ਐਸ. ਘੁੰਮਣ, ਵਾਈਸ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਟ੍ਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ (ਪੁਰਸ਼) ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੀ ਮਾਕਾ ਟ੍ਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਟ੍ਰਾਫ਼ੀ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਵਾਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਕਾਇਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ (ਲੜਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪਸ਼ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਚੈੱਕ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਰ-ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਖੇਡ ਉਪਲਬਧੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਇਨਾਮ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਣਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਮੁੱਲੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ, ਸਪੋਰਟਸ, ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮੁਖੀ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਉਚੇਚੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
