Modi College Wins Inter College Rugby (Men) Championship
Multani Mal Modi College has won the Punjabi University Inter-College Rugby Championship (Men) by defeating the team of Govt. Physical College, Patiala. The championship was organized at Akal College of Physical Education, Mastuana Sahib.
While welcoming the winning team at the college, the college Principal, Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the team members and assured that college will keep on providing the best facilities to the college sports persons. The Principal said that these sportspersons will be duly rewarded during the Annual Prize Distribution Function of the College.
Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Dean, Sports of the College congratulated the winning team and informed that this success was made possible under the able Captaincy of Loveneet Sandhotra and joint efforts of the whole team. The college team comprised of Simranjot Singh, Harpreet Singh, Rajat, Balwinder Singh, Harkirat Singh, Saleem Khan, Jatinder Singh, Karandeep Singh, Gulab Singh, Lakhwinder Singh and Warisdeep Singh.
The Principal applauded the sincere efforts of Dr. Nishan Singh, Head, Sports Dept., Prof. Harneet Singh and Prof. (Ms.) Mandeep Kaur.

ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਰਗਬੀ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ (ਲੜਕੇ) ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤੀ
ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਗਬੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਫਿਜ਼ੀਕਲ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅੰਤਰ ਕਾਲਜ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਅਕਾਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਫ਼ ਫ਼ਿਜੀਕਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ, ਮਸਤੁਆਣਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਬਪੱਖੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਖਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਿਤ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ, ਮੰਚ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਸਮੇਂ ਵੀ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ, ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਲਵਨੀਤ ਸੰਡੋਤਰਾ ਨੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਖੇਡ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਵ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਿਰਮਨਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਰਜਤ, ਹਰਕੀਰਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਲੀਮ ਖਾਨ, ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕਰਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੁਲਾਬ ਸਿੰਘ, ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਰਿਸਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਮਿਸ) ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
