Modi College wins Punjabi University Inter-College Archery (Men and Women) Overall Championship
Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala won Overall Championship in Punjabi University Inter-College Archery (Men and Women) held at Punjabi University Campus, Patiala. Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the winning teams during the programme held in the College campus today. He said that our college has excelled not only in academics but in the field of sports also and it all is because of the commitment of the staff to ensure the overall development of our students.
Dean, Sports, Dr. Gurdeep Singh Sandhu told that our college Men team won first position in the event of Archery (Recurve). In this event, Lalit Jain, Sachin, Ravi and Pawan won the first position by defeating Desh Bhagat College, Bardwal (Dhuri) in Archery (Recurve) event. In women category, our team comprising Amandeep Kaur, Anushika, Simranjit Kaur and Kashish stood first by defeating the team of S.R.S. College, Kalyan. In the Recurve (Mixed) team event of this competition our college team comprising Lalit Jain and Amandeep Kaur won first position by defeating the team of Khalsa College, Patiala. In Compound event college women team won first runners up position.
Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar Ji congratulated the department of Sports and appreciated the hard work done by Dr. Nishan Singh (H.O.D.), Prof. Harneet Singh and Ms. Mandeep Kaur in guiding and training the sports persons of the college.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੰਪਨ ਹੋਈ ਅੰਤਰ ਕਾਲਜ ਤੀਰ-ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ੀ (ਲੜਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ) ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿਵੇਕਲੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾ ਦੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ, ਲਗਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਟਾ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਦਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਅਵਸਰ ਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਈਵੈਂਟ ਰਿਕੱਰਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਤੀਰ-ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ੀ (ਰਿਕੱਰਵ) ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਲਿਤ ਜੈਨ, ਸਚਿਨ, ਰਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਨ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਖੇਡ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤ ਕਾਲਜ, ਬਰੜਵਾਲ (ਧੂਰੀ) ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਅਨੁਸ਼ਿਕਾ, ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਐਸ.ਆਰ.ਐਸ. ਕਾਲਜ, ਕਲਿਆਣ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੀ ਰਿਕੱਰਵ (ਮਿਕਸ) ਟੀਮ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਲਲਿਤ ਜੈਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੰਪਾਉਂਡ ਇਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਲਈ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡਮ ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸ਼ਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
