MODI COLLEGE WINS PUNJABI UNIVERSITY PENCAK SILAT MARTIAL ARTS (Boys) INTER COLLEGE OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Multani Mal Modi College has won the Punjabi University Inter-College PENCAK SILAT MARTIAL ARTS (Boys) overall Championship. This championship was organized at Punjabi University, Patiala. Guru Nanak College, Budhladha bagged the second position.
College team was comprised of Manish Kumar, Daksh, Ramandeep, Balwinder and Deepak. Manish Kumar won Gold Medal, while Daksh, Ramandeep and Balwinder won Silver Medals and Deepak Kumar bagged Bronze Medal in their respective weight categories. In the Regu Team event of this competition our college players Manish Kumar, Karanvir Singh and Deepak won Gold Medal and in Demo fight event Manish Kumar and Ramandeep won Gold Medal.
College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar congratulated the team members and assured that college will keep on providing the best facilities to the college sports persons.
Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Dean, Sports of the College appreciated the winning team. The Principal applauded the sincere efforts of Dr. Nishan Singh, Head, Sports Dept., Prof. Harneet Singh, Prof. (Ms.) Mandeep Kaur.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੰਪਨ ਹੋਈ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਪੈਨਸੇਕ ਸਿਲਾਇਟ ਮਾਰਸ਼ਲ ਆਰਟਸ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ (ਲੜਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਤਿਯੋਗਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਓਵਰਆਲ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਲਜ, ਬੁਢਲਾਡਾ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਈਵੇਂਟ ਫਾਈਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਅਤੇ ਦਕਸ਼, ਰਮਨਦੀਪ ਅਤੇ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਵਰਗ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਤਗਮੇ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਪਕ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਤਗਮਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੇਗੂ ਟੀਮ ਈਵੇਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਕਰਨਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਪਕ ਨੇ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਡੈਮੋ ਫਾਈਟ ਟੀਮ ਈਵੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਮਨਦੀਪ ਨੇ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ, ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
